Everyone Can Work! Paid Work Experiences for Students with Disabilities
Work can be an invaluable experience in a high school student’s life; it not only means being able to earn money, but it also promotes a sense of accomplishment while simultaneously fostering autonomy and developing several skills that will be useful after graduation. In this session national and state presenters will provide outcome data and share information and resources related to effective programs, projects, and activities that engaged students in paid work experiences.

Overview of Labor Laws and Employment Related Issues
During this webinar, targeted for professionals who are involved with obtaining and providing work experiences for youth and young adults with disabilities, information will be presented on the Fair Labor Standards Act and how these laws apply to youth with disabilities. Participants will learn how federal and state laws affect work experiences for transition age youth aged 14-21.
