The Institute for Educational Leadership is proud to host the 2019 National Family and Community Engagement Conference in Reno, Nevada, July 10-12, 2019! This convening is a wonderful professional development and networking opportunity for state leaders, school and district leaders, administrators, educators, community-based organizations, researchers and families to come together and focus on solutions that enhance and expand engagement and improve student success through family-school-community partnerships.

Y-TAC will be there presenting on “DisabilityInFocus #VisibilityofDisability #YouthEmployment: Creating Partnerships that Promote Employment for Youth“. This workshop will take place on July 10th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM with presenters Karin Grandon and Daphne DeLeon.

This workshop will discuss ways to leverage national and local programs to build family and community partnerships that support young people entering the workforce. When families and advocates are empowered by knowledge and understanding of the supports that are available to their young person, complex systems become manageable and young people become more likely to benefit from the supports as they are intended. Join us to find out how to access and partner with the programs that are available to young people through the many educational, vocational and workforce partners.
